CECILIA CONDE
Independent Researcher (National Research Council, CONICET) Laboratory of Neurobiology
Assistant Professor. Provincial University of Córdoba (UPC), Argentina.
Associate and Full Professor. University Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Cordoba (IUCBC).
The research projects in Dr. Conde’s laboratory aim to provide new insights into physiological and pathological processes of neurodevelopment. In particular, we analyze the function of molecules within the TGFβ signaling pathway that participate in the endosomal system and regulate trafficking in neurons, enabling successful axonal establishment and growth in the central and peripheral nervous systems. In addition, and in connection with TGFβ signaling, we are working on the repositioning of a drug for the treatment of temporal lobe epilepsy.
