Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmacology “Otto Orsingher”; FCQ-UNC

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the leading cause of dementia in older adults and one of the greatest challenges facing modern medicine. Our research group studies the molecular mechanisms that trigger neuronal degeneration in this disease, with the aim of identifying novel therapeutic targets and contributing to the development of innovative strategies for its prevention and treatment.
