Our Institute
The Instituto Ferreyra was established thanks to the initiative of three visionary doctors: Severo Amuchástegui, Agustín Caeiro and Calixto Núñez.
It was inaugurated on March 29, 1947 as the Medical Research Institute «For the Promotion of Scientific Medicine».
On March 17, 1948, it was renamed: «Mercedes and Martín Ferreyra» Medical Research Institute (IMMF) , in recognition of the generous contribution of the Ferreyra family. In 1971, an agreement was signed between the IMMF and CONICET, creating the INIMEC codependency executing unit.
In 2012, an agreement was made with the univesidda nacional de Córdoba, transforming INIMEC into the triple-dependent executing unit that INIMEC (IMMF-CONICET-UNC) is today.
Our Institute is a national and international reference institution in the training of researchers in biomedical sciences and in the generation of excellent knowledge.

Contribute to innovation, promote the connection and transfer of knowledge that helps solve problems with multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, in conjunction with the social and productive environment within a framework of regional integration and international cooperation.
Contribute to the academic and technological training of human resources at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
