We are interested in mitochondrial function and the consequences of metabolic dysfunction. We work with the following experimental models:
- Cells from individuals with Down syndrome, as a model of accelerated aging.
- Cells from individuals with Autism symptoms with a point mutation in a mitochondrial protein DLAT
- With the objective of carrying out a review of our approaches to the study topics, we incorporate an epistemological analysis of the technical approaches in neurosciences.
