Profile in CONICET

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Education

2002. PhD in Biological Sciences, National University of Rosario.

1996. Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology, National University of Rosario.

Positions held

Initially trained as a biotechnologist and PhD in Biological Sciences (National University of Rosario), Dr. Martín conducted his early research on the metabolism of lactic acid bacteria with industrial applications. He later completed extensive postdoctoral training at centers of excellence in Spain, Italy, and Belgium (CIB-CSIC, University of Torino, VIB–KU Leuven, and CBMSO-CSIC/UAM), where he redirected his career toward the neuroscience of aging. This trajectory allowed him to integrate approaches from molecular biology, lipid metabolism, epigenetics, and neurobiology.
