DOLORES CARRER

Independent Researcher of CONICET

Assistant Professor, FCEFyN, UNC

Dr. Carrer´s laboratory is interested in the development of topical drug delivery treatments for skin diseases, in particular cutaneous leishmaniasis. The lab´s main expertise is the biophysics of lipidic particles for drug delivery through the skin and liposomes-skin interaction. We also study in vitro nanoparticles-cell and ex-vivo nanoparticles-skin interactions and in vivo topical formulations in animal models of disease. We have also begun clinical studies in humans.
