Dr. Feliziani investigates the parasitic organism Giardia lamblia, employing various techniques in biochemistry, cellular biology, and molecular biology. She primarily focuses on understanding the mechanisms of programmed cell death in G. lamblia, especially in relation to antiparasitic drugs. Her goal is to improve existing treatments and control the transmission of this highly prevalent intestinal parasite, which poses a serious public health problem in developing countries.
